Larry's Update

Well here we are again.  Hope I can remember what happened during the week.  Mondays ,as always, not much happening.  Placed the order for the next 2 weeks .  As always Mondays are NASCAR draw day. Tuesday was real quiet did not have anyone interested in doing the Drag Racing on Tuesday night.  Wednesday was our Karaoke final. Had a great night in the kitchen  Jeanie and all of her help did a great job. Do not have the names of the winners will post on the Flash-Flash page as soon as I get them. And again we had a great turnout for free lunch and our Wham-Bam Bingo game. Thursday night was our monthly E-Board and Membership meeting  will post the minutes at the bottom of the Blog.  Friday was Dinner and our Queen of Hearts drawing.  Furball was the lucky contest winner, his choice envelope was #28 exposing a gift card for the second time in two weeks. The gift card was for a  horse back ride on the beach provided by Ellen. Saturday was a mad house. It was a Celebration of Life and did they Celebrate. Sunday was Breakfast and then the NASCAR race  The big winner was Deli Bob for $125.00 and 12 points. Abel 2nd for $75.00 and 10 points he also won the dollar board for $40.00.  This week we have a person buying Gold and Silver and other antiques.  Come on down and sell what you got. E-Board Meeting

Discussed the increasing amount being spent
on kitchen and bathroom supplies. Discussed the discounted price of drink chips
bought by other organizations using
the Kitchen .


 It was noted that the people cooking the
meals are falling short when it comes time to cleaning  up
after cooking, relying to much on community service workers.  Commander,
as well as the rest of the board, was pleased with the results of the karaoke
contest. The money put up for prizes was well spent. Ist vice gave an update on
the progress of membership renewals.


The Boy Scouts have approached the post
with a project that will help members earn their Eagle Badge.  It
is a project that will be built up on the hill, including 
a stage, seating built into the hill and a couple of fire pits. We will
have further details when the young man returns from Harvard. We had several
ideas for raising funds for this and other upcoming projects. Meeting adjourned
at 7:40 pm.
