Well as last week was busy as hell, this week has been a dud. Nothing much happening Monday or Tuesday.  Our regular scheduled Karaoki on Wed. was real slow  I hope the contest starting in July will bring some of those singers out of the woodwork. Thursdays lunch, fixed by Victor, was very good. Again even after adding 18 more cards to the Wham-Bam Bingo game  we came up 2 short in order for every one to play. Love the participation. It was real disappointing that more people did not show up for Big Mike's steak dinner on Friday night.  The steak melted in you mouth. The good thing was they were able to sell the steaks that were left over for breakfast on Sunday.  Randy was the lucky draw person in the hunt for the Queen . His pick was envelope #55, exposing the 10 of Clubs ,and  again no money for his honey.  Next weeks reward $2,800.00.  I can't believe that we have yet to find a joker or one of the Gift cards. The hall rental that was booked for Saturday was canceled so Randy filled in and played some good music. Sunday's NASCAR winners were John, from San Jose for $125..00 and 12 points Warren for $75.00 and 10 points  The dollar board went to Breezy for $40.00.  I have $20.00 buy in's for the race in Daytona on the 6th of July  It pays $500.00 to win  $150.00 for 2nd $50.00 for third, $50.00 for 15th, and $50.00 for the car leading at half way, if your car finishes last you get your $20.00 back.  Hope to get started next week on our upgrade to our sound system.  Till next time, give your loved one's a hug, you never know how long you will be able too.

Well it has been a very busy week. The normal routine on Monday. I had to order additional liquor in order to make it through the upcoming weekend.
Tuesday and Wednesday not much happening. I started building the storage shed on Thursday and took a break for lunch and to play Wham-Bam Bingo. We had a great turn out and Jackie won back her chips that she had won last week. We had two winners on the last black out for the BBQ tickets for father's day. Fridays dinner was fixed by the ALR and as always a good job. The draw for the Queen went to Brezzy. She picked the #24,her favorite NASCAR # and it was the 2 of Clubs and again no money. Next weeks reward $2,700.00.  Saturday was a zoo. We hosted the first annual Azorean Brother's Poker Run. It was a fantabulos,[ I'm not positive if that's a word,] day for the canteen. The Tri-Tip BBQ was top notch as was the music. Sundays breakfast was a sell out, I thank they said 59 sold. The Color Guard did a great job on the opening of the car show. We had 39 top dollar cars registered with the Best of Show Trophy going to a beautiful 1955 Chevy Bel Air. Bobby and Doug did a great job on the BBQ for the District 28th fund raiser. All in all the weather, the food, the cars and the music was great. Till next week you'all have a great time and come by and see us.

Monday was a typical Monday, busy but not much to talk about. Tuesday took the paperwork to the sheriff's office to get our one day permits for the Bike run on Saturday the 15th and the car show on Fathers day. Wednesday went to Home Depot and bought the material to build the enclosure for the chairs ,I haven't had the chance to do it yet. Thursday was a great free lunch and Wham-Bam Bingo. Had two additional black out games for tickets to the BBQ on Fathers day. Pinky and Mary won them. I took our backup register to the shop for repair and they told me it would cost $400.00+ to fix it. Thursday at the meeting it was brought up and decided to buy a new one at the cost of $309.00. Thursday was our regular monthly meeting. I will post the minutes at the end of the Blog. SAL did a great job on dinner Friday night.  Our Queen of Hearts draw went to Renee' Her pick was #26 and it was the 2 of Clubs. Next weeks reward $2,500.00.We also drew for 2 tickets for the BBQ on Father's day. Gail Scarpa won both of them. Saturday was the Parking lot sale, Ellen did a great job. She had 26 sellers taking up 41 spaces. The ladies AUX made a $100.00 +on the sale of their Breakfast burritos.  Sunday's breakfast was a sellout .The Riders had their monthly meeting at noon followed by the installation of all the incoming officers of the Legion, SAL, AUX and the Riders. Mike and his crew threw a great feed following the installation. We will be having a great weekend so everyone come out and enjoy it.

Monday - clean, stock, place orders for the next 2 weeks.  Sell out the NASCAR pool for the race at Dover.  Tuesday, put away the liquor that was ordered yesterday, short the Jose Gold.  Took the measurements  for the enclosure I want to build to house our extra chairs and tables.  Wednesday not much happening, next week will be our regularly scheduled Karaoke night.
Thursday was free lunch day and our day to play Wham-Bam Bingo.  It has grown to the point that I had to make more cards so everyone can play. Later in the day Bob and I did the-end of the month inventory.  What a job we had.  All the liquor, as well as all the beer, came in within the last two days.
Friday night's dinner was very good, Fried Meatloaf, a first for me. The Queen draw went to Joyce, her forth time to be selected to expose the Queen, and again she is still hiding.  Friday, the 7th of June, the reward will be $2,400.00.  Saturday we hosted the first annual poker run sponsored by the Road Saints.  Everyone had a great time and it was a very profitable day for the canteen.  Sunday was fairly mellow.  The NASCAR winners were Mike H. for $125.oo and 12 points.  Troy $75.00 and 10 points.  Jeannie was the big winner in the points race with 17 points  (two drivers in the top ten finishers).  The leaders scored no points this week so the field is getting tighter.  The $40.00 winners were Lou & Sheryl P.   Remember the Parking Lot Sale this weekend, Saturday, June 8th (my 73rd Birthday, yea), and the installation of  new officer's on Sunday, June 9th at 1:00 p.m.
