` There will be no election this year due to the Corona Virus  All officers will remain in their elected positions until election in 2021                                                In order to keep the post alive, so we can have a bar open when the time comes, we need about $3000.00 a month in order to pay fixed costs. With no bar income we are relying on donations from the members. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.  We are trying to put together
a way to open the kitchen a couple nights a week for drive thru pick up of your meals. I will keep you updated on this.  We will also be asking for $50.00 donations,  in turn you will receive a punch card for 10 drinks. I will have further info on this later

Not much to post this week. The post did not have any music last week we will be having Marty and the 'Prunedale Outlaws" this week after the Queen as well as the Jam session on Sunday. I'm not sure what we did to make the man upstairs rain on our parking lot sale, but he did. It has been rescheduled for March 28th. The Queen draw revealed a Joker, paid Betty $100.00. Only the 2nd time the Joker has shown his face since we started the Game. Jack and I finished up the encloser  where the TV will be located, still waiting on the track so we can build the doors. Everyone remember that Thursday is the monthly meeting for the Legion as well as the Ladies Auxiliary. I forgot to post the NASCAR winners for the week. Christopher "Boo" first place for 12 points and $125.00 Jeff second place for $75.00 Jeanie and Furball $40.00 each on the dollar board  Points leader Mike H. first with 23 points Wayne second with 20 points

Yea the day has arrived. Yesterday we got the final from the county on the Gazebo. We can now proceed with the electrical and the building of the doors and the finishing of the room where  the TV will be housed. Friday nights sheriff was Gail. She was not present so if she had won she would of lost 20% of the pot. the envelope she picked held the 4 of Hearts, no money but she did get $20.00 worth of tickets for next week. The reward will be $2,000.oo and Jokers now worth $100.00.  The music after the Queen was provided by "The McGuffe Rd Band" not the" Prunedale Outlaws" that I had listed. We have no music on tap this weekend. We do have the Parking lot sale set for Saturday, weather permitting. Friday nights dinner will be Victor's famous 1/2 lb. bacon cheeseburgers. If you haven't had a chance to see the new Gazebo come on down and check it out.

Got my debit cards from Home Depot today for a great sum of $2,800.00. Finished up the roof yesterday 70 panels and a total of 1600 hundred screws. We will be getting the gutters up on Friday for a cost of $650.00. Should be able to call for a final the first of next week.
The Queen draw for Friday was real slow so the reward remains at $1,800.00.  Mambo Wally did a great job entertaining the troops after the Queen.  The Valentines party with "Triple Creek" was a great success, everyone had a good time.  This week Marty and the "Prunedale Outlaws" will be playing after the Queen. If you want to spend your Sunday afternoon listening to some good music come on down and experience "Uncle Dan and his Jam. Below are some pictures of the Gazebo  with its new roof

Well a lot has happened this week. We got a notice from Union Bank that effective the end of the month they will be closing all of the Post's Bank accounts. I think that it is the most degrading thing I have ever heard of. Supposedly Homeland Security is enforcing the Patriot Act. because our deposits are mostly cash. I think it is the most disrespectful act, by a business, that  I ever have seen. If you are Vet and have a account with Union Bank I would hope you would express your concern. It looks like we will be moving our business to Wells Fargo. I do have some good news, Home Depot approved our grant for $2800.00 and should be funded in a week or two. Fridays Sheriff was Konnie Dearmond ,not her first time in the saddle but still not a winner. This weeks reward will be $1,800.00. The "new Prunedale Outlaws" had some great guitar players after the Queen. The Jam, that the Post is hosting every other Sunday, is beginning to rival the jam's that use to be held at the old 589 on Market

Well here we go for two successful weeks in a row ,maybe. Joyce and I had a pretty busy week. We did all of the shopping for the fund raiser on Tuesday 50 lbs of Hamburger, 12 I gallons of pasta sauce, 21 lbs. chopped onions 60 lbs of cheese ,35 boxes of no bake lasagna noodles. Lots of garlic and spice's. Thursday we started the prep of the sauce, it took all day. At 5'oclock the ladies started the layering of the noodles ,cheese and the sauce. We got 12 pans in the oven and baked, finished the rest Friday night after the Queen, The fund raiser on Saturday went off without a hitch. We feed 300+ and could have served a few more if we had it. There were Bo-Co of things for the raffle as well as the silent auction. The 50/50 winner scored $385.00. Peter Parker won the Horseshoe Tournament. Ellen and I worked our butts off in the canteen. All in all it was a great day and wish Faria the best of luck. The Sheriff  Friday night located a gift card but not the Queen this weeks reward will be $1,700.00. We had a good turn out for the Super Bowl game on Sunday, what a finish. Dale Earnhardt once said "Great Game but only 3 weeks to Daytona". I have sold out the $20.00 buyin. Friday night after the Queen Marty and the" Prunedale Outlaws" will be playing also on Sunday we will be having the Jam Session from 2 to 6. This is the second try dropped half the first go-around

Well another week has flew by. Again not much happened during the week, but had a great weekend. Friday night the Rider's had a great meatloaf dinner. After dinner we had our Queen draw, the card drawn was the Three of Clubs, next weeks reward will be $1,300.00. Triple Creek kept the house rockin  until 11pm. Saturday was the Fund Raiser for the North County basketball team. All the crab you could eat and they ate over 400 pounds. We had 120 people in the hall as well as a full bar and about 60 in the tent that they had set up on the grass in the back. Sunday was Riders Breakfast as well as their monthly meeting. Jack and I have installed 8 row's of our roofing material witch consumed just under 800 screws, that's a lot of trips up and down the ladder. We are now stopped until we hear from Home Depot. If you have time come on Thursday for free lunch and play Wham-Bam-Bingo. Friday after the Queen we will be having live music until 11pm.

We are going to give this a try. I would like to do a follow up on good friend Ron Day. I hate to report that he did pass I believe his obituary will be in Thursday's Californian. Friday's Queen draw went to Larry Ash,  his card  revealed the Jack of Clubs, no money but he also won the auxiliaries 50/50.The Sons of the Legion did a great job on Friday night's dinner and again on breakfast Sunday. We had another great Jam on Sunday afternoon,  will be having another one on Sunday the 18th. Friday after the Queen "Triple Creek" will be playing. I talked to Home Depot today and was told that their year ends this month and our grant should kick in in Feb. I did score seven pieces of lattice to finish up the outside of the Gazabo, that sell for $30.00 ea. for a total of $42.00. Will be working on the sign for down by the road later in the week. If you get a chance come on down and check out our progress.
