Larry's Update

Well its that time again I'm a little late in posting because I have been trying to get my Email folders back. Got up this morning and all my E-Mail folders were gone and my internet provider had restored over 8,000 unread E-mails. Monday again was pretty slow. Tuesday along with Membership appreciation night we held Drag racing. I brought down 2 cars and we rolled dice to race them the length of the hall. We placed side bets on how many rolls of the dice it would take to get to the finish line. Little Chance cleaned up, with his wins and side bets he came out about $20.00 winner. Wednesday was the final round of qualifying for the sing off this Wednesday in our Karaoke contest. Come on down and cheer on your favorite singer. Thursday was free lunch, which was great as usual, and our Wham -Bam bingo game.
We keep getting more people that want to play and for the second time we ran out of cards. Again I gave 5 Queen of Hearts tickets to the winner of the second black out game. They went to Jim and Margit. Friday our Queen of Hearts draw went to Bonnie. She picked envelope #28 which revealed a Gift Card, that won her the 30 inch flat screen TV. This weeks reward is worth $3,600.00. Saturday's BBQ was real flat, don't know where everyone was hiding. The turn out for the Band was not much better. I guess being the end of the month everyone ran out of money. Sundays NASCAR race, that I didn't get to watch because I was on the phone with Tech trying to get my new games up and running, was profitable. The winner of $125.00 and 12 points was Joyce and I. Wayne took second for $75.00 and 10 points as well as winning one of the dollar boards for $40.00 . The other dollar board winner was Abel. Jeannie now has a 4 point advantage over second place in the race for points. I forgot when, but some time during the week, I did get the wiring and one speaker up in the front of the hall. I must be getting old I guess I don't remember what happened on Monday or Tuesday it couldn't have been real important. Wednesday was our third round of our Karoke contest. The winners were Al Coughlen from Hollister, Ken Coffe from San Jose and Carole Costa from Salinas. Come out this Wednesday for the last qualifying round. Thursday's free lunch was great as always. Wham-Bam Bingo again was a free sell-out. We had two black out rounds with the second round winner got 5 Queen of Hearts tickets. Fridays dinner of stuffed Pork Chops was killer diner for the price. The luckey winner in our Queen draw was Harry, from Mike's bar in Castroville. His pick was # 44 which held the 2 of diamonds This weeks reward $3,300.00. Any gift card will receive the 32 inch flat Screen TV Jokers will win $100.00. I did get the rear speakers mounted during the week. Saturday the ALR had their poker run and raffle. They also provided free Hamburgers and Hot Dogs to enjoy while listening to live music provided by the band Side-Step. Sunday, with no NASCAR race was pretty boring. Hope to see u-all during the up coming week .

Larry's Update

Monday, Monday, about the only thing good about Monday's is it gets you started for the rest of the week. I got the hall cleaned up, finished the inventory, and ordered all the supplies by 9;00 AM. The rest of the day was a piece of cake. Tuesday, is put every thing that came in away. I came in at about 1am and ran the RCA cables from the Juke Box to the amp located behind the bar. After that I mounted three speakers and ran the wires to the AMP. About 6:00 AM I noticed that the condenser in the cooler was froze over and was not letting the cooler get cold. Had to defrost it with the heat gun. Wednesday was our 1st round of elimination for our karaoke contest. The first three winners were Rachel Ferrell, Kelly Dodge and Mike Barnes Second round coming up this Wed. The kitchen did a great job on there chicken chili. Thursday was a great Day. We celebrated the 4th with a killer BBQ and a great time listening to the music provided by the Roadhouse Band. Friday was SAL's time to cook up their fabulous Hamburgers. The Queen draw went to Carmen and envelope #12. Again it was close but no cigar, the King of Hearts made his appearance known. Next week draw worth 3,000.00 the Jokers are now worth $100.00. Saturday it was pretty slow until the race started ,what a finish The Money winners were Johnney[Jew] for $500,00 Dale North $150.00 Jim & Margit, Sheldon, Larry& Bel all for$50.00 ea. Chet was the big winner on the $6.00 board with $125.00 and 12 points followed by Harry with 75.00 in cash and 10 points. Carmen and Victor won the $1.00 boards for $40.00 ea. With no race on Sunday it's like a day off . So until next week everyone be safe and come and see us.

Well its that time again" Monday" Not much to post other than it has been hotter than hell. Tuesday and Wednesday were real flat. Thanks to free lunch and Wham-Bam Bingo, Thursday was very busy. Thanks to Dave Dolan, we had three extra black out games. He donated 2 blue chips and two packs of 10 pull tabs. Bonnie won one and Mary the other. Friday AUX. did dinner, spaghetti and meatballs the size of base balls. The Queen draw went to Dave Bloom and card #16. The 10 of clubs jumped out of the envelope, not the Queen, so we raised the reward by $100.00 to $2,900.00 for Friday, July 5th. We drew 4 tickets before we found someone present to receive the $100.00 bonus prize. It went to Koni. Saturday the hall was rented for a sweet sixteen party. Everything went very smooth. The rest of us sat around and waited for the rain to stop so we could get the Nascar race started. It didn't happen, postponed till Sunday. The big money winners for Sunday, John(from San Jose). The winner two weeks in a row for $125.00, and 12 points. . He is now our point leader Warren also won again for $75.00 and 10 points. Brant and Dan were the winners of the two one dollar boards for $40.00 each. Don't forget to come out for our 4th of July party, it should be a blast.
