Not much to talk about on Monday.  Cleaned the hall, placed the orders for the canteen, and worked the bar .Real slow I guess everyone is home watching the great immackulation.   Tuesday was another routine day, other than putting away the liqueur order not much happening.  Wednesday was our second round of Karaoke competition.
The three lucky singers to advance to the finals are  Marshall Crisman,Dawn Cowan and
Marsay Sheldahl.  The Sloppy Joe's  fixed for dinner were a great hit, Thanks again to the guys in the kitchen.  Thursday we had a killer lunch of smoked Brisket sandwiches
and Chili  Thanks to RTP.   Wham-Bam Bingo was a lot of fun  We had two players that had three bingo's each.  We have four players with three wins in the same day  Who will be the one to get four bingo's in one session?  Friday night was a total blast.  We had over 150 people show up for the Queen of Hearts drawing, There was no place to park and had standing room only, great for the bar. When it came time to draw,  Phil Green's
name was pulled, it's the third time in 5 weeks. They say the third time is a charm, they were right. The number on the envelope he selected was # 41, it will be his and Debbies
41st anniversary on Tuesday. He opened the envelope and the Queen emerged and said
"Happy  Anniversary" to the tune of $4,100.00. In the mist of all the kayoss the ice machine sprung a leak and flooded the storage room and the walk in cooler.  Next weeks reward will start at $500.00  Jokers will be worth $25.00. We will be adding 6 more envelopes to the next game. In the additional envelopes their will be gift certificates from local business's.  As members, help support Prunedale, shop local.
Saturday's hall rental canceled, the second cancellation this month, not good.
Sunday I had help from Koni,Karen and Mary in setting up the new game, they shuffeled the cards then slid them face down into the envelope's.  Once in the envelope's they were shuffled again and Dina randomly numbered then from 1 t 60.  We have a 32 inch Flat Screen and a dinner certificate for $40.00 so far in our additional envelope's. Till next week keep buying those Queen tickets.  Also we have a 49'ers lamp that we are raffeling off to help pay for the food on Super Bowl Sunday

Well Monday's sure come around in a hurry.  I started by sweeping the hall and when I went looking for the mop and the mop bucket I couldn't find it. I thought it disappeared
like the pressure washers. Once I opened  the Canteen area there it was, mystery solved. Little did I know the real mystery occurred the night before. Dina told me that just before closing Sunday night the Canteen area was flooded with water. They mopped up the water but were unable to figure out where it came from. It has not happened again so I guess we still have a mystery. Later  in the day I helped a lady set up her WEB site on Weebly.com,  If there is anyone out there that would like to make a personal WEB-Site,  Weebly is the way to go. It is free and pretty easy to use, I can help you if you like .
Tuesday the Entertainment Committee met to plan the menus for the kitchen, discuss the Hall rentals, and make some decisions on whic. bands we are going to hire in the future. John fixed a pot of Chicken Soup for everyone.  Later we had a small going away party for Carmen. He is moving to Oklahoma, everyone will miss him and we all wish him the best of luck.
Wednesday we got our Costco shopping done, picked up some supplies from Office Max, and made a bank deposit.
Thursday is free lunch and WHAM-BAM BINGO.  Muffey and Rebels table cleaned up,
Dina did alright too. Friday night's dinner of home made lasagna was a killer. The hunt for the Queen exposed the King of Spades in card number 10. Next week's reward will be $4,000.00.  We had a suggestion by a member for the next game.  The suggestion  was to increase the card count to 60. In the additional envelopes have gift certificates from local restaurants or maybe Costco's or other local businesses. Let me know what you think.  Saturday itself was pretty calm it wasn't until the music stated at 7:00 that things picked up.  Triple Creek always does a great job.  It was nice to see so many local prunedalions come out and enjoy themselves.  Sunday's breakfast turn out was not that great.they don't know what they missed. The 49er's game was kick ass. It looks like we will have a great Super Bowl Party.  Till next week like I said before, Happy Trails

Well it's that time again.  Monday was a very busy day.  First thing was to clean the building, then came time to place the orders for our Canteen supplies. Around noon Joyce and I started preparing for our cooking demo using the Nuwave Oven. We cut up the baby red potatoes and diced up the red onions. We placed the onions and potatoes  on the bottom tray and took the chicken breast striaght from the freezer and put them on the 4-inch rack.  Lunch was done in about 25 minutes.  No fuss no mess, a
great thing for the kitchen. Tuesday's are supply shopping days in Salinas. When we returned, John had a great pot of Broccoli  Soup.   Wednesday  was  hamburger night and our first round of Karaoke contest singers.  We had 16 singers sign up.  We picked 3 to compete in the final sing off.  Thursday is free lunch day  and our day to play WHAM-BAM-BINGO.  Robert scored three consecutive bingos.  Friday was ALR's night in the
kitchen, we had a great pulled pork sandwich.  At seven we drew our lucky name for the
Queen of Hearts reward. Phil Green's ticket was selected (it was his second time).
This try opened envelope #9 exposing the 8 of Clubs.  The reward for Friday the 18th will be $3,700.00.  Saturday was a great day for football.  We had to feel bad for those Denver Fans. The 49er's game was a great game, personaly I liked both teams. The 49er's will generate more money for the post so it's go 49er's.  We  had a great munchy table set up thanks to Ellen, Jeff and Carmen.  The band  "Straight Shot" put on a hell of a show from 8:00pm till eleven.  Sunday ALR cooked breakfast followed by their monthly meeting.  We did have a $500.00+ winner on the Sweepstakes machines Tuesday.  Till next week  "Happy Trails"

They had great hamburgers.  The drawing for the $3,000.00 Queen of Hearts went to Mikey.  His guess was envelope #35,  wrong, the Ace of Hearts showed up, no cigar, no money either. Being that he was not present, we drew a second ticket for the $100.00.  David Clausen scored again. The reward for Friday 1/11/2013 will be 3,300.00.
Saturday's private party went off without a hitch and yielded a very good night for the canteen.  Sunday was breakfast. There was no Jam in the evening.
Will hook up with everyone next week and let you know what happened.

Well this week has been pretty hectic.  As usual I start with cleaning the Post on Monday. The day itself was busy with lots of chatter about what was going on
in everyone's Christmas plans. After getting off work, Joyce and I drove to Dixon to spend  Christmas with the kids.  The Post had a very nice dinner  thanks to all of the the members who voluntered in the kitchen.  Due to the holiday falling when it did there were no dinner plans for Wednesday or Friday nights. We did have a great lunch and played Wham Bam Bingo on Thursday.  Friday night we did our drawing for the Queen of Hearts.  Judy Sousa's name was drawn and her choice was card #5 and again the Queen escaped discovery.  The reward for this coming Friday will be $3,000.00.  As we have reached another $1000.00, the Joker's are now worth $100.00.  Also, someone present will win a $100.00 on the ticket draw.   Saturday started out fairly routine but buy night fall we realized that the 2nd Vice had made no provisions for the New Years Eve Party.  Sunday we got an early start at putting together a menu and went shopping. We purchased most of the finger food and made arrangements to pick up the chickens on Monday morning.
Sunday night Daniel and I did the monthly inventory, while enjoying our last scheduled Jam Session.  Monday was a early start with lots to do.  Vic got right on moving the pool table and setting up the tables and chairs. Dina, Joyce and Jeannie were busy decorating of the hall,  they did a beautiful job.  All in all, I think
the place looked great.  The night went off without a hitch. The food, music and
customers were all great. The bar had a very profitable evening.  I wish everybody a great New Year. Let me remind you that the bartenders will be checking your 2013 cards.  No current card--no service.
