Monday has rolled around again.  Same old routine 0pen, clean, wait on your first customer. In the meantime you place the Liquor order for the next two weeks.  Everybody was in and had their NASCAR numbers by 2:00
Tuesday was our entertainment committee meeting.  We laid out the kitchen rotation and some of the menus for the month of April.  We discussed the Wed night Karaoke and the possibility of maybe rotating D-J ing on one of the two nights.  We also talked about the need to increase our canteen prices in order to keep up with the price of doing business.  At present, our daily average is about $10.00 short of breaking even. Wed. night Doug and Bobbie fixed meatball sandwiches for dinner.  Later we had our Karaoke and played three sets of Wam-Bam Bingo at intermission.  Thursday free lunch was soup made by RTP and a ham sandwich provided by Vic.  I think for the first time we had a different winner for all ten games with Dennis scoring on the blackout.  Friday was AUX turn in the kitchen and the Ham was delicious.  Dave Dolan's ticket was drawn for the Queen of Hearts, it was envelope 22 the 5 of spades.  Next weeks reward is $1,400.00.  Dennis was on a roll and won his eleventh $250.00 pull tab.  Saturday was the kids Easter party.  They played games and had an Easter egg hunt.  For lunch they were treated to good old Hot Dogs.  The hit of the day was Ellen's 2 horses her dog "Radar" and the two goats "Tinker Bell" & "Minnie Me."   Sunday's race winners were Wayne 1st for $125.00 and he had two cars in the top ten for 18 points and the new leader.   Jeanie, 2nd for $75.00 and she also had two cars in the top ten for 15 points.  Troy ,last weeks big winner won the dollar pool for $40.00. I have to check the water in the morning, it seems that the well pump is not working.  I may have to bring in some water until it is fixed.  Remember to give those loved ones a big Hug every chance you get, you never know when you may not be able to.

It's that time of the week 'again' Monday.  Opened up at 6:30 not feeling so hot ,but got the job done.  Monday's rehashing of the race and the selling the spots for Bristol made the day go by pretty fast.  Tuesday Cindy worked for Donna, who is still sunbathing in AZ.  Jay was back to work after being down for the count for seven days.  Wednesday was the Taco Girls night to fix dinner.  There Tacos and Enchilladas were to die for.  The girls came back and fixed the free lunch on Thursday.  After lunch we played Wham Bam Bingo, with Dina calling the cards.  I played for the first time and had beginners luck and won the Blackout round.  Friday Koni had a pretty good day leading up to Mike's great Rib Eye Steak dinner, it melted in your mouth.  We drew the card looking for the Queen at 7:00.   It was Randy's selection of envelope #15 that turned up the 4 of hearts, next weeks reward will be $1,300.00.  After the Queen draw, we drew another ticket from the accumulation of the previous weeks sales. You had to be present to win the $50.00.  Muffy's name was drawn on the first go around, buthe was not there. We drew again and the lucky people were Brant & Janie, present and congratulations.  The Nite Creepers played some great music until after 10:00p.m.  Saturday was kind of slow, I guess everybody was recouping from the night before. Saturday night started  out kind of slow.  The Ladies Auxiliary  provided a great selection of finger food and music by a D-Jay for a fun Saint Paddy's night celebration. Sunday's breakfast was awesome compared to the one I had Friday at the VA hospital in Palo Alto.  I give Doug & Victor a 10.  The big winners in the NASCAR pool are Troy for $125.00 and 12 points.  Dale for $75.00 and 10 points, and Jack for $40.00.
None of the leaders in the points race got points, so the game tightens up with Jim & Marget as the new leaders.  Hope to be feeling up to par by the end of the week.  Give your loved ones a big hug, my son left to go back to MI and couldn't give him one and give him my cold.  He will need all the help he can get.  It is +14 degrees with 3 feet of snow in Pickford, MI.

Monday has rolled around again. Did the cleaning, stocking and ordered supplies for the next 2 weeks all by 9:00 a.m.  The day went by pretty fast with nothing of any importance happening.  Tuesday Cindy worked for Donna who is enjoying spring training in AZ.  Got a call later in the afternoon that Dina was sick.  She was supposed to be covering Jays shift, so I came in and worked.  It was a long night.  Wednesday night was our Karaoke sing off.  We had eleven very good singers in the run off.   After two ties in the judges scoring, and two sing offs, Martha was declared the winner of the $100.00 and the trophy.  Dina and Jay were still sick so I worked again Wednesday night.  Thursday is free lunch day.  We had sausage sandwiches and soup prepared by Victor.  After lunch we played Wham Bam Bingo with Robert as the big winner.  Thursday night is our monthly meeting and again everyone was sick, so I covered the night again.  Following is the copy of the minutes

Friday I sat on a Committee at the State level Executive Board Meeting in Santa Maria trying to figure out how to best approach the over 500 posts in CA in playing Remote Caller Bingo.  If we can get this going on a large scale, it will be a great money raiser for all of those that choose to play.  Friday's name drawn to try his luck at exposing the Queen, was David Clauson.  His guess, envelope #51 revealing the 9 of hearts, no cigar.  Next weeks reward $1,200.00.  Saturdays celebration of life showed that Louie had a lot of friends.  Sundays big winner in our NASCAR pool was Mary for $125.00 and 12 points.  Dennis took second for $75.00 dollars and 10 points.  John "from San Jose" still leads in points with 23.  Don't forget all of the fun things coming up this week.  I hope all of you out there that have been sick are getting better.  Until next week "HUG " your loved ones, you never know how long you will be able to.

Well it's Monday again and there is not much happening  The most exciting thing I guess is that I sold out my NASCAR pools for Phoenix by noon. Tuesday another drag. Tuesday night must have been ladies night out because Jay had a house full.  The girls danced up a storm and had a good time.  Wednesday a so-so day.  Wednesday night Daniel and his wife fixed a great Lasagna dinner.  Thursday Ellen did a killer job on preparing lunch, then we played Wham Bam Bingo.  Fridays Queen of Hearts draw went to Larry and Annabell, they collected the $50.00 dollar bonus before we went to the cabinet to open their pick.  It was the envelope #35 revealing the King of Clubs.  Next weeks reward  $1,100.00.  Saturday the hall was rented for a wedding reception.   Sunday breakfast went smooth . We had a great time watching the race from Phoenix, Az.  The big money of $125.00 for first went to Dale, along with 12 points.  Second place for $75.00 went to Joyce and myself.  We also had the 3rd place finisher for a total of 19 points.  John [San Jose Linda's husband] is the points leader. His 12 points for winning last week plus 2 cars in the top ten this week gives him a total of 23 points.  Monk won the dollar pool for $40.00.  Till next week, give your loved ones a hug.  See you then.
