Well it's that time again.  Mondays are usually really slow.  This week was no different. Everyone did come in and get their spots for the last week of NASCAR. Tuesday, Joyce and I got the shopping done for the week, also got all the supplies put away.  Wednesday was Karaoke Night, not too bad for a night that was not part of a contest.  Thursdays are free lunch and Wham-Bam Bingo, again Dave Dolan donated $20.00 worth of Queen of Hearts   tickets as a prize . Thursdays are also free pool nights.  Friday nights dinner was outstanding, thank you Victor.  The rumor that the twin sister of the Queen is terrorizing the cabinet is true. We had over 400 attempts to try to capture her with no success allowing the reward to increase to $2,200.00. Saturday was a fund raising event sponsored by SAL.  It was a great Day.  They had 39 Tri-Tips and were all sold.  There was also several raffles and silent auctions with all proceeds going to the fund raiser. Sunday was the final NASCAR race of the year.  We all now go into withdrawal until Feb.  To make the day a little easier we gave away a lot of money.  Jeannie was the big winner $1,000.00 for the points Champ. Second place went to {San Jose] John for $300.00.  3rd place went to Joyce & I for $150.00, and Mary $50.00 for 4th.  Monk was the big winner on the $20 board for $500.00.  Second place went to Dennis for $150.00 plus $50.00 for leading at half way.  Pinky $50.00 for 3rd. Jeff scored $50.00 for finishing 15th.  David Clausen $125.00 and Lou $75.00 on the $6.00 dollar game. The two $1.00 board were won by Mike H &   [San Jose] John
I would like to share with all of you a very humbling  poem that was written and presented to me by Ellen

I know I am late in posting my Blog, but last week has been a killer.  I know I must have donated 60 hrs.  Monday was nothing to brag about.  Everyone got their numbers for the race on Sunday.  Tuesday kind of slow.  Wed. was the Karaoke contest final.  The winners were Glen Singer from San Jose, for $300.00, Sarah Boles from PRUNEDALE for $200.00 and 3rd place went to Mike Barnes from Los Banos for $100.00.  Thursday was free lunch and WHAM-BAM Bingo.  Thursday night was our monthly meeting.  The minutes will be posted at the end of the Blog.  The big day of the week was Friday.  I think everyone is aware that the Queen was captured by Sheriff Ed Clark and for his bravery he received the Reward of $11,000.00.  It has been reported that the twin sister is now terrorizing the cabinet along with her gang of two Jokers. A reward has been posted for $2,000.00 for her capture along with $50.00 for either Joker.  New rules have been posted to all posse members that wish to join the hunt.  Being that n0 one showed up to supervise the community service worker, I got the job on SAT.  Saturday night we had a private party, which by ABC rules requires 2 security guards.  I could only find one person interested in doing the job even though it paid $100.00.  Again, I assumed the job, along with Bruce.   We kicked butt.  Sunday was ALR breakfast and their monthly meeting.  At 3;00 we had the hall rented for a memorial service.  Winners of this weeks NASCAR pools were Alecia Knight $125.00 and 12 Points,
Mary 2nd for $75.00 and 10 points The dollar board winners were
Bella and Me. I think that pretty much has it.

Well it's Monday again. Did the ordering for the next 2 weeks. We have been very busy so we needed a lot.  I did meet with the engineer and got the measurements down on paper.  I still don't understand why it is taking  so long. Tuesday was shopping day for Wednesday nights dinner and free lunch Thursday.  Joyce and I also got all the table cloths washed so they could be used for Halloween and the Early Bird Dinner.  Wednesday night was the last chance to qualify for the 321 Karaoke contest.  The lucky one's chosen to compete in the finals were Mike Barns from Los Banos, "Martini Crawford" Taylor Wilson, and Glen Singer all from San Jose.  Good luck to all singers.
Another fun day was had on Thursday with free Lunch and Wham-Bam Bingo.  Thursday night we had a great Halloween party with several great costumes. The winners of our contest were "Regina Bernal" dressed as a Gorilla, and Dina portraying a horny something or other.  The music was provided by "MAMBO WALLEY".  They did a great job.  Now we get to Friday. The ticket sales for the 7:00 draw for the Queen were pretty hectic. Come time for the hunt the lucky hunter was the 2nd Vice from Post 121 Watsonville.  He picked card #6, it did not contain the Queen, but it did hold one of the Jokers worth $400.00.  This coming Friday the reward will be $11,000.00.  The second draw for $50.00 went to Dale & Heidi.  We had a real good day on Saturday, followed by the Early Bird Dinner from 6:00 to 8:00 and live Music till 11:00.  If you missed dinner you missed out on a great Prime Rib prepared by Doug and Bobby.  Again I want to thank them for the time they spent so all of us could have a good time, we need more volunteers like them  to step up and HELP.  Both Doug and Bobby returned early Sunday morning to prepare breakfast for SAL.  Sunday's NASCAR winners were Larry & Annabelle for $125.00 and 12 points.  San Jose [John] for $75.00 & 10 points, closing the gap on Jeannie for 1st to 4 points.  $40.00 for the $1.00 board went to Jeannie.  Remember to come out Wed. for the Final Round of the Karaoke Contest.
