Larry's Update

Monday has rolled around again.  Same old routine 0pen, clean, wait on your first customer. In the meantime you place the Liquor order for the next two weeks.  Everybody was in and had their NASCAR numbers by 2:00
Tuesday was our entertainment committee meeting.  We laid out the kitchen rotation and some of the menus for the month of April.  We discussed the Wed night Karaoke and the possibility of maybe rotating D-J ing on one of the two nights.  We also talked about the need to increase our canteen prices in order to keep up with the price of doing business.  At present, our daily average is about $10.00 short of breaking even. Wed. night Doug and Bobbie fixed meatball sandwiches for dinner.  Later we had our Karaoke and played three sets of Wam-Bam Bingo at intermission.  Thursday free lunch was soup made by RTP and a ham sandwich provided by Vic.  I think for the first time we had a different winner for all ten games with Dennis scoring on the blackout.  Friday was AUX turn in the kitchen and the Ham was delicious.  Dave Dolan's ticket was drawn for the Queen of Hearts, it was envelope 22 the 5 of spades.  Next weeks reward is $1,400.00.  Dennis was on a roll and won his eleventh $250.00 pull tab.  Saturday was the kids Easter party.  They played games and had an Easter egg hunt.  For lunch they were treated to good old Hot Dogs.  The hit of the day was Ellen's 2 horses her dog "Radar" and the two goats "Tinker Bell" & "Minnie Me."   Sunday's race winners were Wayne 1st for $125.00 and he had two cars in the top ten for 18 points and the new leader.   Jeanie, 2nd for $75.00 and she also had two cars in the top ten for 15 points.  Troy ,last weeks big winner won the dollar pool for $40.00. I have to check the water in the morning, it seems that the well pump is not working.  I may have to bring in some water until it is fixed.  Remember to give those loved ones a big Hug every chance you get, you never know when you may not be able to.
