I'm going to try this post. Again this time of the year its kind of slow, people shopping for the holidays as well as a lot of people out of town. Thursday's Wham Bam Bingo has been pretty steady, it does amaze me that we have that much fun with such a simple game. Friday night's Queen of Hearts has also been slow. Friday we had the first ever discovery of a Joker. It paid Don $75.00 and it was located in envelope #28. Saturday was the Kid's Christmas party an they had a great turnout. For those that have no place to go on Christmas Day we will be serving dinner from 1:00 to 3:00.
We will be having a New Year's  Eve Party. Tickets will be available at the Door for $10.00 and will include appetizer's, Music from 7;00 to 1:00am and a Champagne Breakfast. Joyce and I went today and bought what I need to redo the Welcome to Post 593 sign at the foot of the driveway. We will be installing solar lights to make it more visible at night. I also bought some lattice for the south wall of the Gazebo. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Running kind of late. Been under the weather the last couple of days. I guess its just the weather as well as the season but things at the post have been real slow. We did have one great day on Saturday when we hosted the 'Hells Angles" annual toy run. There was a great turn out in bikes and people, the amount of toys collected was super. Ellen and I worked our butts off and I  thank we did a great job. Saturday morning we had the honor of a visit from the newly elected National Commander as well as the State Commander. They were both impressed with the Post.
This the third time I have tried to publish this post It only post a couple of lines at a time This weeks Sheriff was Debby Thurman and her choice of envelopes revealed the Ace of Clubs, no money  This weeks reward will be $1.000.00 Jokers worth $75.00 Saturday will be the Kid's Christmas Party hosted by the Lady's AUX. Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:00

I was unable to post earlier because I exceded my 5 gigs of what ever . anyway I'm back. Lots to catch up on. Last weeks Queen was a scare. It was a Queen and it was red but it was a diamond. This weeks reward will be $700.00. We finished the NASCAR season with Dave Clausen finishing 1st for the $1,000.00. 2nd place was a race in itself with Furball coming from 4th to pass both Japana and Deli Bob for 2nd and $250.00. Deli Bob received $150.00 for 3rd and Japana $50.00 for 4th.
We are still waiting on some confirmation on our grant from Home Depot. Daniel, the Home Depot Rep, seems to think it will go thru but due to the time of year it may take a while. We have gone as far as we can go, just have to wait.

Had a great turnout for a great Thanksgiving Dinner I want to Thank Doug and Bobbie, Victor and all the Volunteer's that made it possible. Everyone is invited to the ALR Christmas party Dec 6th Prime Rib Dinner $15.00

Having nothing but problem trying to do my blog  The last 3 weeks the blog has been cut off midway thru  Called support and they say it is not something I'm doing wrong but a software glitch.  Will try it again this week. I don't know where to start. I guess there was nothing earth shattering that happened during the week. I did apply to Home Depot for another grant to furnish the materials for the roof. Hope to hear from them the first of the week.  Friday nights sheriff was Mike[ from Greens] and his envelope was #17 holding the 10 of Hearts. For the first time since we started the game we did not sell enough tickets to raise the reward the $100.oo so it will remain @$600.00. After dinner we ,for some reason, hosted a birthday party for a "Hell's Angle'. Not only did we not receive any money for the hall rental but we forked out $400.00 dollars for the band. Something is way wrong. Saturday was the" Early Bird dinner Doug, Bobbie and Phil did a great job on preparing the steak and shrimp. Music was provided by "Triple Creek". Sunday's  49er game was a squeaker followed by a great NASCAR race  This weeks winners were Deli Bob $125.00 and 12 points Tom $75.00 and 10 points Jeff and Abel won the $1.00 boards for $40.00.  Theirs nobody than catch Dave Clausen in the points race .Their are 3 people in the running for 2nd and the $250.00
Mambo Wally will be playing Friday night for Nov. Birthdays  We will also have live Music again on Sat .night  starting at seven o'clock. Had a great time at the Parade on Monday

I don't know what happened to my Blog last week. I wrote it all and it disappeared.  I'm not sure what will happen this week.
Jack and  I have been making a lot of headway on the Gazabo. We have all the blocking down the front as well as the facia. All of the horizontal 2/4's spaced 24 inches are up, they are what the roof panels fasten too. We will complete the shear walls by the end of the week. Getting close to our rough inspection.
Last Fridays Sheriff was Mike and Mary. They got as close as you can get without winning. Their envelope was  #24 and held the Jack of Hearts. This weeks reward will be $4,000.00 and Jokers are now worth $125.00.
The weekend was kind of slow compared  to last week. About the only thing exciting was the NASCAR race. Big winners were Roach for $500.00
2nd was Dave Clausen for $150.00 Dennis, Deli Bob,& Brant all won $50.00
Dam I forgot who won 1st for $125.00 and 12 points Larry Ash won 2nd for $75.00 and 10 points as well as $40.00 on the $1.00 board Roach won the other $40.00 board.

Due to some personal issues I'm running a little late.

Jack and I got quite a lot done in the last couple of days We drilled all the holes in the existing footings in order to put up the new walls and the headers to hold up the trusses that support the roof . We have several of the new posts cut to length and the hardware installed. Cal did our first inspection and we put in the anchor bolts that support the header post.  Tomorrow we will start the first shear wall.

I really don't understand why it has been so slow, maybe school starting has something to do with it. We still have a great turn out for lunch and Wham-Bam Bingo on Thursday. Friday's Queen of Hearts Sheriff again was Mary & Christopher . Their pick revealed the 9 of Clubs, no money honey, reward for this week $3.300.00. We had live music both Friday & Saturday night. Sunday both SAL & ALR held their monthly meetings.  NASCAR winners for the week were San Jose John for $125.00 and 12 points  Roach for 10 points and $75.00  $40.00 winners were Able and Dave Clausen.

Starting Wednesday Sept. 17th Wilma will be cooking German Food every other Wed night . We will also will be doing Karaoke again on Wednesday's   Today when I came in Ellen had the senior's dance class rocking to the wobble. They were having a great time.  We will be having live music after the Queen on Friday night. The Patriot's will be having their apprecia

Well it finally happened. $902.00 later I got the permit so we can continue on with the Gazebo. Today I got the sill plates anchored down and tomorrow we are going to get all the Simpson ties nailed off.

We had a lot of fun this week with Wham Bam Bingo on Thursday and the Queen of Hearts on Friday. Again the Queen eluded the Sheriff so the reward went up to $3,100.00. The lucky person did draw a gift card, which turned out to be the 9' Tablot. , Saturday night was real busy with a private wedding. Had a little excitement, but it didn't last long. Sunday nights NASCAR winners were Japana for $125.00 and 12 points. Marget for $75.00 and 10 points. Dollar winners were San Jose John and, dam I forgot the other one . Dave Clausen is still the points leader. Monday was a blast, kind of like a polar blast, the ALR raised $1,00o.oo for ALS with their Ice Bucket challenge.

Have posted more pictures in the gallery

We will be having live music after the the Queen on Friday and again on Saturday. Come on down and enjoy the  fun.

Well good things have happened this week. Finally we got the plans back from the engineer today. Tomorrow I will be calling the county for a appointment to try for the permit again. Had most of the materials needed to finish the framing delivered today. It has to be painted and my best helper skipped town. Overall business has been real slow, hope it's just the time of year. Friday night's Queen is still hanging in there but going up only $100.00 a week. The pot of $2,900.00 is getting bigger and the chance of winning gets better. This weeks Sheriff was Mike and Mary, for the second week in a row. Their pick exposed the 8 of Spades, again no winner. We had a great time Saturday night celebrating Karen's Birthday. Duane and the Boys put on a great show. This weeks NASCAR winners were Abel, for the second win in a row, $125.00 and 12 points, Brant took 2nd for $75.00 and 10 points. Dollar winners were Joyce and myself and Jeff.   Dave Clausen is still the points leader with 104 Ellen still has spots remaining for the parking lot sale on Saturday. Again come on down on Monday an witness the Ice Bucket Challenge and enjoy free Hot dogs and hamburgers.
