Larrys Update

As those of you who read this blog on a weekly basis know, it is a overview of my intrepretation of what has happened during the week.  I am very sad and depressed to have to write about my look at what has happened.
Monday started out as usual, cleaning, stocking and getting set for the week. In the afternoon we had an inspection by the health dept.  They want a towel rack and hand wash sink behind the bar also want our spare co2 cylinders to be secured in case of earthquake.  No problem.  At some  point in the afternoon the current adjunct left the post very unhappy.  Tuesday he submitted his resignation, personally I don't know why. Wednesday the Taco Girls did a great job on their Tacos and Enchiladas.  Thursday was free lunch and Wham Bam Bingo,  always a lot of fun. Friday nite the AUX fixed a very nice dinner followed by the Queen of Hearts drawing.  Ron & Joyce were the draw winners and selected card #1 which held the 10 of hearts- no cigar or money.  Next weeks reward $1,700.00.   Later in the evening was when it got ugly.  I'm not going to go further into what happened but it resulted in the resignation of another board member and hopefully not the loss of a good friend.  Saturday was fairly quiet with the Riders out of town participating in their convention in Jackson.  At seven the band "Triple Creek" fired up and played until 11:00.  Everyone had a good time.  I came in for breakfast at about 10:00 on sunday and all the band members were having breakfast.  I asked if they spent the night. Sunday was kind of boring being that the NASCAR race was on Saturday night  The big winners were Mary for $125.00 &12 points.  Warren for $75.00 and 10 points.  Dan Fisher won the dollar pool for $40.00.  John (from San Jose) extended his lead over Wayne by one point for a total lead of 10 points.  I hope we will have resolved all the issues that have come up and can regroup and continue to make this post one that all the members can be proud to belong to.
